After getting his traning from the Keepers, Garrett decided to go freelance and found that he was really good at his new profession. One day his fence told him about a jeweled scepter that belonged to a local noble named Lord Bafford. He promised to pay Garrett well for it, as well as any other trinkets he found around the house. Seemed like a simple enough job for one of Garrett's skill.
Time to go back to the game that started it all, Thief: The Dark Project Gold edition. This game, created by Looking Glass Studios was heavily influential in the genre of stealth gaming as we know it today. This here is the training video for that game, showing off some of the gameplay mechanics while establishing how our anti-hero, Garret, learned his skills from a mysterious order called the Keepers.

So what can you expect to find on this blog? Well, first off I'm a HUGE fan of stealth games, ever since Thief: The Dark Project came along and I dabbled for a while in the world of fan missions. Then I heard that a project was underway called The Dark Mod, which was going to bring the stealthy gameplay of Thief to the Doom 3 engine. One day I saw Doom 3 on sale and picked it up in anticipation of this new game and I was very happy with the final result when it was released. So it is my plan to play through every mission, making video reviews as I play. I will probably also play the original Thief series and fan missions, because old graphics aside, they still get my adrenalin pumping.
I also got wind of games called Amnesia: The Dark Decent and Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth. Like Thief, they are dark and gloomy and fairly terrifying. So those games will show up here as well. After that, who knows? Maybe Silent Hill?
